Cynthia’s Approach

 Getting Started

You want to do business in British Columbia and need to know the lay of the land – who’s who in the government decision-making hierarchy; your company is being negatively impacted by a government policy or you are new to the province; starting a new business; or there’s been a change in government and you want to understand the political framework within which your business operates.

Most businesses are impacted by changes in government. For example, an election brings about a change in the governing political party which brings in a new set of policies, the ministry portfolio changes, government priorities change, new regulatory standards are brought in, or government is consulting on something that will impact your business.

Focused on running your business, you may not have the time or inclination to manage your government relations problems. You may have a GR person on staff but you need the additional capacity of Progressive Strategies, an industry expert.

Cynthia will listen, assess your situation and determine whether or not Progressive Strategies is the right fit. She will not take on a new client unless she sees a path to success, which could include modifying expectations. If she can not help your company, she will point you in the right direction to an industry colleague who can.

Progressive Strategies works on either an hourly or retainer basis that take into account the full service government and public relations, public policy analysis and advocacy programs that she delivers. Client engagements typically start with a six-month term, reviewable after three months.
