About Cynthia Shore

“Cindy was my business partner for almost 20 years. I was continually impressed with her political instincts, her capacity to interpret our clients issues and in her understanding of which solutions fit the circumstances.”

Patrick Kinsella

After graduating from Capilano College in Business Management, Cynthia focused on business and digital communications. She co-founded a leading-edge Vancouver-based computer animation company, Telperion Visuals. Telperion was one of the first two video production houses in Western Canada combining analogue to digital transfers, computer animation and video editing. Clients included BC Transit, Expo 86, International Submarine Engineering, KVOS-TV, K-Tel and Super Save.

Then Cynthia developed and implemented a successful marketing campaign for CCEC Credit Union that contributed to the growth required to meet the changes to the then incoming Financial Services Act and secure its future in the industry.

Cynthia coordinated a provincial environment commission, the BC Waste Reduction Commission, Soils and Hazardous Wastes. The commission delivered two sets of policy recommendations to government that were accepted and made into regulations. As well, she  consulted back to the Ministry of Environment on an alternative fuels program and to BC Transit on a region-wide municipal government consultation program.

While working in public affairs, Cynthia was promoted to Vice President, British Columbia, in a leading national government relations firm GPC Government Policy Consultants. This was followed by becoming Partner at the preeminent strategic communications firm, The Progressive Group. Here she worked alongside Canadian political titan Patrick Kinsella for two decades before his retirement in June 2020, resulting in the launch of her independent consultancy, Progressive Strategies.

Progressive Strategies, a strategic advisory consultancy, is founded on the strength of Cindy’s convictions and passion for government policy, public relations, and business solutions. Based in downtown Vancouver, Cynthia has business networks across the country, the USA as well as deep connections throughout Europe.
